Sommelier (parttime of fulltime in overleg)
Do you want to work as a wine pourer – “Sommelier” – in the best wine bar in the Netherlands? Part-time or full-time consultation.
What are your interests in wine? How is the restaurant industry? Then we will be happy to discuss this with you. It is not necessary to be a winegrower or have WSET diplomas, but that is of course an advantage.

At the Merlot wine bar you will find great sommeliers, winemakers and enthusiasts who will entertain our guests throughout the evening. You will work in a young, enthusiastic and friendly team who will informally introduce guests to the wonderful world of wine.

Merlot is a relaxed bar, but a bar where everything revolves around wine! Our guests are both tourists and hikers, but we also have a large number of regular guests from the area. Enjoying a good glass of wine informally is what many people are looking for.
Our wines
You will work with an extensive collection (+/- 260) wines. We serve many (+/- 40) wines by the glass, so you can easily introduce your guests to different grapes, regions, classifications and vintages. Check out our current wine list here.

What are we searching for?
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious lady or gentleman to join our kitchen team for our wine bar in Zapopan. After about 5 years of kitchen experience, are you ready for a new and challenging work environment? Then we are looking for you!
Which team will you end up on?
The kitchen team is made up of 3 chefs. As a Merlot chef, you will be able to join our team 3, 4 or 5 days a week depending on your wishes. You are partly responsible for the “food” part of our wine bar. Our guests come to Merlot to have their favorite glass of wine or discover something new. Our sommeliers advise from a list of 250 wines. Expectations are high, also when it comes to the “food” part.

What is the kitchen and menu like?
Our menu consists of 32 small dishes, of which 1/3 are vegetarian, 1/3 are fish and 1/3 are meat. From small snacks and grills to culinary dishes. Are you curious? Don’t hesitate to stop by. You can also take a look at our online map.
